Being the new kid on the block has worked out pretty well for pro baseball’s Ryan Braun. In 2007 he completed one of the greatest seasons ever for a rookie with a National League leading .634 slugging percentage that also was the highest percentage by a rookie in MLB history.  In his sophomore season, Braun was a catalyst in leading the Brewers to the playoffs for the first time since 1982. In 2009, Braun established himself as one of the elite offensive forces in the game by leading the National League in hits with 203 and collecting his second consecutive Silver Slugger Award. Not bad for the long bomber from Mission Hills, California.  Since capturing the 2007 Rookie of the Year award, Braun has become the first player in Milwaukee Brewer history to be elected to three consecutive All-Star Games.
